Condensation Control Food Applications
• Cold Storage
– Eliminates fog / condensation
– Eliminates slippery floors
– Improves worker safety
– Prevent mold growth
– Fewer mechanical / electrical failures
• Processing Areas
– Eliminates condensation dripping onto product.
– Reduces pulldown time after washdown
=increased production time.
– Improves worker comfort.
• Loading Docks
– Extends cooler defrost cycle
– Reduces labor with no chipping ice off floors, doors & racks.
– Improves worker safety with no fog and ice build-
– Shift latent load to lower cost utility (natural gas).
• Process Freezers
– Extends defrost cycle, increase production
– Eliminates icing on floor & conveyor
– Reduces ice buildup on evaporator coils, less maintenance costs
– Eliminates ice on downstream weighing machinery
Standard Desiccant Dehumidification
The dehumidifier is based on Munters unique Honeycombe® sorption drying wheel:
• Process air passes through drying wheel and leaves the dehumidifier as dry air
• Heated reactivation air collects moisture absorbed by the wheel and leaves the dehumidifier as wet air
• Air supplied to area has dew below freezing
• Supply air acts as a sponge, preventing moisture from condensing on surfaces
• HCD-
Modular dehumidification equipment with multiple options, ranging in capacity from 600 to 12,000 scfm.
• Integrated Dehumidification Systems
Factory engineered and assembled systems offering turnkey system solutions, including: heating, cooling and sophisticated controls, with capacities up to 80,000 scfm.
• HCE
Large scale dehumidifiers. Ranging in capacities from 15,000 to 40,000 scfm.
• HC and M-
Small scale dehumidifiers with capacities from 30 to 300 scfm; they are portable, easily installed and run on standard power.
